Well, bobby. They are allowed to sell oil for money for humanitarian
reasons, but, then saddam keeps the money for weapons research instead of
passing it on to help the people, so I have to challenge the assertion that
it is our fault because of sanctions.
The 2nd question is legit. I wish I could answer that.

Interesting discussion. I am conflicted (no pun intended) on war with Iraq.
The Iraqi people are suffering, but much of this is due to US sanctions.
Saddam is evil, but can we remove effectively, i.e., with some assurance a
real democratic form of government could take its place?
