OK, my lynx 2.8.3 does not, with or without alt text in place.  If you are
trying to use lynx with the standard Windows telnet, it generally does not
work; for a sighted user it is mesedup and out of order as soon as you
start trying to scroll.  Get a third party telnet and it will more likely
work like it did in the good old days with ProComm Plus.  I remember when
you could do EVERYTHING with ProComm Plus. :-)
