I would like so much to believe in the health of the fish here, but I
wonder how, exactly, one would farm fish in deep water....Fence off a bit
at the top? Keep them penned at the bottom? And how to get the natural food
sources to pass through the "farm" area in quantity? Farming implies
artificial concentration of numbers, and I think that if the fish were
confined at all, which is extremely likely for economic reasons, it would
be necessary to supplement their natural diet - and it seems unlikely to me
that this would be done with anything resembling said natural diet. I'd
welcome more research on this activity. But in the meantime I wouldn't buy
any fish from farms at all.
