surge protection from the phone line is the most overlooked threat to a
computer. imho.

Hi all,

 I didn't get started on the personal profiles and the link on my site
cause I've had major computer problems as a result of a surge through
telephone line. Lines were replaced, but more damage was done that didn't
get taken care of. And ... my computer is playing up big time. I'm seeking
remedy from the phone company to replace,having determined that the new
modem is sound, and that there is no problem with my ISP. Wish me luck

I hope to get this project moving along soon.

Bobby, I'm drafting a questionnaire of sorts and a pal is going to put it
in a format that people can use directly on my site and submit. I'll
forward a working copy to you ASAP.
