NO ONE UNDERSTANDS HOW MUCH DEALING WITH CONTINUOUS PAIN WILL TAKE out of a
person unless they have it to deal with themselves.

No, no hard feelings here, either. I didn't have pain myself until I was in
my mid-forties, and I didn\'t fully realise just how energy-draining it was
to cope with is on a daily basis until then.

I don\'t want to cause any hard feelings here, but I\'m like your Mom before
she had an terminal illness because I haven\'t ever experienced great pain,
so I understand why she didn\'t fully understand before.

Unfortunately, it took a terminal illness for my mother to understand
living with pain every day. Just before she died, she said, \"I want you to
know, I\'m sorry for not believing how hard it is to live with pain from day
to day.\" By that time she was on morphine.

hear from well-meaning family and friends. I\'ve been called everything
from
spiritually bankrupt to a drug-addict. None of the naysayers has ever
dealt
with pain lasting more than a week. They can sometimes understand the
idea
of palliative care in terminally-ill cancer patients, but that\'s about
the
extent of their understanding. \"F\" \'em all!

Kyle had some thoughtful and considered comments to make. Did you check
out
  the website he suggested? www.asappain.com?

Moms have a special way of pushing buttons. This seems to be a universal
condition. I\'m sorry about your pain, and the fact that your Mom isn\'t
  understanding about it.
