Grant,

I think this is a great idea. I was pretty excited to read this message
(the Butcher Boy). I have been wanting Buffalo for years, ever since I
tried some when I was in the Air Force.

Dr. Patterson,

I checked the site last night, but couldn't find any price list. I tried
to get a flyer sent to my house, but apparently the form for that hasn't
been properly incorporated into their website yet. Can you give any kind
of idea what some of the prices might be like?

Thanks,
John Pavao

A reminder to all that the following kinds of advertising, announcements,
comments or what ever -- ARE PERFECTLY OK on this list.

Many private lists don't allow any "commercialism", but I had given it a
lot of thought, that "commercialism" such as described here would indeed
benefit us Modern Day Paleo-People -- we have borders, fences and
threatened wilderness and wildlife -- so we must do, our hunting and our
gathering within the confines of modern day business -- our Market Place.

Butcher Boy Food Products and Game Meat
                  http://www.thewild.com/Butcher_Boy

I have bought a variety of exotic meats from them in the past, and
frankly, I am trying to convince them to be a sponsor for TheWild Web
homepage and some of its free pages to non-profit organizations.

Butcher Boy is located in South East Michigan, and regularly carries a
wide variety of meats in store, especially smoked venison and antelope.
They are also one of the state's (and possibly the nation) largest
distributors of healthy (8:1 advantage over store bought beef according
to a study quoted in Outdoor Life magazine) Buffalo meat products.

Additionally, I have seen in their regular stocks, pheasant, alligator,
boar, squab, various ducks, rabbit, turtle, turkey and a few other meats.

Upon request, they can also obtain exotic meats such as giraffe, lion,
oryx, and many more. (visit the homepage for more details)

P.S. Please let them know you saw their info on TheWild Web if you contact
them. I will be putting up a CGI form shortly to handle requests
for
flyers, to save you non-Michigander's the cost of a phone call.
