Yet another way is to go to www.pcmag.com/utilities and download Startup Cop II for free.  You can stop stuff from loading at startup, and if you've uninstalled something that still shows on the startup list you can remove it.  It shows you what is loading and where it's loading from. Great little freebie utility.  Doesn't ask you to restart either.
