Hi David,

It could be the monitor.  Mine always clicks when it goes into powersave
mode.  Could be your's is doing so when it shouldn't.  My 17" monitor just
died the other day, and the problem appeared to be that it kept getting
powersave signals and just clicked without ever showing anything on the
screen.
