On the whole DSL is more reliable a good thunder storm will cut you off of
your satillite signal. DSL is faster one of the biggest hangups with SAT. is
the latency problems.


Cost wise DSL is about the same as SAT. The setup cost on SAT. can be higher
but you can usually work around that with a free install deal. Security is
also an issue. It is easier to scan for SAT . signals than wire based DSL. I
would make a recommendation of the following if it is possible. Since DSL is
not available try for cable it may be and has compatible if not higher
speeds then DSL. It also tends to be available in areas where DSL is not. If
neither DSL or Cable are available try an ISDN line from your Telco. If not
that then go for the SAT.
