Subject: Slackware

2. I use a program on my windows 98 se box called rawrite to create the =
slackware boot disk and the root disk. I had no problem creating the =
boot disk but every time I go to create the root disk . The rawrite says =
I have a bad sector. I have tried this with several different floppies =
and get the same error. What gives?

snip
I don't have Slackware installed, but have installed RH, Mandrake and
SUSE (not an expert and not proficient) and I did all the installs on
this machine without a boot disc. If I remember right the boot disc is
only if you can't boot from the CD (Slackware may be different). Can
you install from the CD on this machine? I did install RH on one
machine that the BIOS didn't allow booting from CD and the rawrite
generated disc worked to boot up the CD and start the install menu.
