As far as the Newman's fig bars goes, I remember reading the label at
one point and I believe they either have oats/oat flour or barley in them,
so even though they may be "wheat free" they are NOT "gluten free"! PLEASE
read label ingredients before buying and consuming these! I have not found
ONE Newman's item that is safe for celiacs yet (darn!).

-----

I grabbed the package, and it says WHEAT FREE not GLUTEN FREE and
contains Barley flour. Let's all write newmans and see if they'll make
gluten free newmans...cuz now i'm bummed. They were purchased the day
after diagnosis when i'd received nothing from my doctor. (working on a
new doctor)

Bagels You can buy these on-line at www.glutino.com They'll be shipped
from Canada. They come in vacuum packed bags, and in the summer time,
you probably have to order them to be shipped next-day, or second day.
In the winter, you can ship them standard delivery and not worry about
them spoiling, due to the freezing Canadian weather.

English Muffins You can get these from Foods By George. Their phone
number is 201-612-9700. I'm not sure how they ship, but I know that our
local health food store here in NJ stocks George's English Muffins.
They're about three times the height of a Thomas' muffin, and crusty on top.

http://www.glutenfree.com GF Pantry sells individual snack cakes. I'm
not much of a snacker, so I haven't tried them, but they are made by
Valpiform, and their baguettes and rolls are very good.

I've eaten EnerG's English muffins. But I toast them and put honey on
them. And I find them really good.

---

I also take several Atkins Advantage bars with me and Ener-G has a
granola bar that's good too.
