    Tim Jesson posted the following message which is only partially shown
and this is my answer to his post.

     Iodine is not known to harm DH patients, however if they are on
medication to avoid the DH outbreaks, iodine in there system will require
them to take more medication to control the outbreaks then if they have
less iodine in there system. If and when they come to the point where they
do not need to take medication to avoid outbreaks any more; then iodine is
not suppose to cause outbreaks. I can not personally confirm this sense I
have not gotten to that position yet, but I am hoping.

     Tim is probably not familiar with the drugs that are necessary to
control the symptoms of DH ; they are all nasty drugs and the quicker that
you can get off of them the better. Also iodine is in just about everything
and would be very hard to avoid all together. I my self avoid the obvious
ones most of the time, but I do not worry about it.
