Hi Bronwen! I'm glad to see you on the list.

I did want to clarify my comments regarding fruit. I personally cannot
lose weight if I eat much fruit. In fact, I basically have to eat almost
no fruit or I will start binging and consequently gain weight. My wife has
lost about 40 lbs over the last 1.5 yrs without ever eliminating fruit or
fruit juice, and never fully going "paleo" but minimizing the non-paleo
foods in her diet. When I first stated the paleodiet I lost about 20 lbs
over several months while eating a few pieces of fruit a day, but I was
also exercising and weighed much more than I do now. When I totaly
eliminated fruit for a while I was losing 4-6 lbs per week while in ketosis.

I have reached a point where I cannot continue to lose weight (I have about
40 lbs to go) and eat fruit regularly. However, this is my current
experience. Your husband may be able to lose weight and eat some
fruit...as many on this list will agree, ketosis isn't always necessary to
lose weight. You may need to experiment to find what's right for you and
your family.

Good luck,

Brad
