I have been celiac for two years but now I am dealing with a new issue:
My husband and son have recently been diagnosed with food intolerances - both
to eggs, milk, wheat, cheeses, peanuts.
My question is this: If someone is intolerant of milk, cheddar cheese and
american cheese should that person avoid lactose, casein and whey as well as
butter, butterfat, butteroil?
I have seen products that claim they are "dairy free" but contain "caseinate
(made from milk)". Doesn't that make them "dairy"?
Even soy cheese has casein in it. Am I being too picky or am I misinformed?
