I just want to put out a warning to anyone coming to the Marlton, NJ area.
Stay out of the Burger King on Rt. 70 in Marlton, and always watch the cooks
in fast-food places. I eat at Burger Kings all over the place, and usually,
it's fine. This is what happened today:

The kid at the register listened to my order... standard speech and repeated
it to the cook.

I'm allergic to wheat. I order whatever the meal number is for 2 quarter
pounders.

Just the quarter pounders...no bread, no cheese.. put the meat, veggies, mayo
and ketchup in the cardboard breakfast box.

Meat must come off the grill, not off bread.

Take fries from the next fresh order, because the onion ring crumbs in the
bin would get me sick.

That's it. Then I always watch what the cook is doing, since most of
them are just kids. This cook was no kid, just a very stupid and
ignorant adult. I saw her take the meat off of bread and she insisted
that because it was just cooked, it was just off the grill. Despite
clear, patient re-explaining, the cook then put the new patties on the
cardboard platter that was contaminated and started to use the same
lettuce from the crumby meat. No amount of trying to correct her would
work. She was clueless and argumentative. She would not understand why
it was important and refused to follow directions given to her by the
cashiers. I even told her, I'd be calling 911 if I ate the breadcrumbs,
but she still wouldn't "make it my way," as their ad claims. I gave up.

I asked for my money back...first time I ever did that...and I walked
out...angry and embarrassed that a simple order had to become a scene.
I went across the street to McD's and had a perfectly gf lunch and no
aggravation.

It's the luck of the draw though. It all depends on the stupidity and
stubborness of the cook, and luckily, it doesn't happen often. I am
contacting the manager, though. There didn't seem to be one there today.
Maybe that was the problem.

Linda
