Hi all,

I am in the midst of working on going back to school this fall. I can't tell
you how much this topic hit me this morning. I had been thinking of going
back in the spring, but as it turned out, they were still open for
applications for fall even though it starts in two weeks. I filled out the
application and turned it in today. Tomorrow, I have to bring a copy of my
transcripts and my disabled status to the school.

I have mild CP, but can't take notes fast enough to keep up with the teacher
and stuff. My writing skills aren't that fast, but my handwriting is very
legible, but my notes stinks!!! :-(( I am also hard of hearing so it's
frustrating sometimes. I make sure that I sit in the front of the room ... so
I can always hear the teacher.

One of you mentioned using Dragon Dictate Naturally Speaking software as a
means to get notes typed into the computer. I'd love to find out more about
this option. Does this work with any tape recorder? How does it work? I'd
love to be able to just bring a tape recorder to class, and then be able to
take the tape and have my computer do the rest of the work. I'd still ask
someone to take notes for me as a backup, especially in a math class since
the work is so fundamental to understanding the concepts.

Can one get carbon paper easily these days? Where?

Thanks for all of your help,

Dina
