Sorry to take so long to reply, but I just saw your email.  There is a device
called the Magnum Connect 2.5 made by a company in Quebec that enables you to
"tape" a lecture on floppy disks and then upload it into the computer.  I
have been considering it for my daughter who is a college freshman.  This is

I hope this helps you.  I haven't decided yet whether or not to buy it as I
can't find anyone who has tried it, but it sounds good.
