You might be interested in what a bodybuilding
nutritionist named Don Lemmon has to say about this
(www.domlemmon.com). He claims they've been wrong all
these years regarding eating carbs/protein together,
especially following a workout. Instead, he recommends
seperating them like you mention you do. His theory is
similar to, but not the same as, food combining. Food
separation is what he likes to call it.
