PC Anywhere is made just for this.  You can configure it to connect directly
through a modem, or if the work PC has an alway-on connection with a static
IP address, you can configure it connect via an internet connection.
Instructions on set-up, however, are a bit more wordy than I could put in a
post.  The program itself provides excellent documentation.  Check out this
