Current set up is windows 95 and AMD K6 233 with two hard drives. The drives are

Primary Master Quantum Fireball 3.2GB
Primary Slave Western Caviar 2.3GB
Secondary Master Sony CDRom

Primary master is partioned into three

C drive contains windows
E drive contains applications
F drive is the swap file

Primary Slave is pationed into two

D drive contains all my data
G drive contains games

My problem is that sometimes when loading a data file into an application there is a delay which seems to last for a long time but is probably a second or so (the hard drive light is on) followed by what I can only describe as a 'clunk' sound and then the file loads.

Should I be worried about this, the sound seems to be mechanical in nature.
