Well Mag I will take a stab at this one. A quickie - its two job day!! I
need to leave in 9 minutes!!

         The Jewish religion now its  5759th year - is based on ancient
tales beginning around campfires - compilied into a manuscipt called the
Bible - The Old Testiment( Only). It is the belief system of the Hebrew
poeple. They are still waiting for the Promised Messiah to come. It is
now
Patriarchial/Male Deity based belief system, once in the very beginning
it
was a Matriarchal component. Additional manuscripts are used and
taught -
The Torah. Male children are to circumcised, they have Holy days based
on
their significant events. Which since I can't spell them correctly - I
will
out of respect list at  later time.

That a real brief quickie nutshell.  I am sure that Steve - can be more
concise and educational.

        Islam is its 1420th year based the teachings of the Prophet
Mohammed. The manuscript it uses is called the Koran. It is also a
Patriarchial/Male Deity based belief system. The Islamic religion
recognizes
Master Jesus as a wiseman. They do not as the Christian view him as a
Messiah.
