There are trouser socks that are light almost like nylons but,with some
cotton to absorb the sweat.  I wonder if knee high nylons would be ok?

I don't know about Adult shoes but we are able to find regular shoes at
places like Walmart, Kmart etc.  Just look for the wide toe box or Extra
wide
shoes.  This is easier in tennies rather than a dress shoe.  As for socks in
the summer.  I haven't a clue.  I'm a barefoot type of person all year round
and hate the idea of Alex Wearing his MAFO's in the summer because of socks.
DH wears socks on the hottest day of the year and thinks nothing of it or
putting them on Alex in the summer.  I think it is a personal preference.
