Sandy asked:
How would one go about getting one's body to the optimum pH in a healthful
way if one is too alkaline?

Most American's have a problem with a body that is too acidic, most raw
foods(especially fruits and vegetables) are alkaline. If you have an
objection to RAF, then nuts and a few acidic fruits are the foods for you.
You may want to go to the drug store and buy the litmus paper that the
Naturopath used. It is best to test both saliva and urine. Do not put the
litmus in your mouth, instead put the litmus in saliva. You will find some
variation based on time of day and what you have recently eaten. I have
found that first thing in the morning is the most consistent time to test.

You may discover some interesting things, like when you eat nuts, the saliva
may become very alkaline to help break down the nuts. Or it may become
slightly acid when you eat alkaline foods.

Flora can be a good thing, but I'm not sure if there is direct correlation
between urine pH and intestinal flora. I'd ask if it needs to be
refrigerated (usually good ones are) and the process for making it. Also be
aware of capsules, many are toxic and you will want to drain the contents
and avoid the plastic
