Wes:
Ellie,
Any relation to Rip (Van Winkle)? :)
My married name is Rotunno, but I published under my previous name Van
Winkle, and since I'm publishing again I'm using it. Besides, that name
suits me--I was asleep most of my life :) --drugged from medicines and
bad food.
Wes:
.. And
despite what the enzyme-bashers say, I do feel that the lipase content
in raw fat means something too. ...Research has shown that obese people
are usually deficient in lipase..
Interesting. There's lipase in those lysosomes, so maybe if it's not
destroyed by cooking it helps digest the fat and spares the lipase from
the pancreas.
My best, Ellie
