<<<<Dell Demension 2400
XP home addition
Pentium 4 cpu 2.4 ghz
128 mb ram>>>>

Hi,

(1) "128 mb ram"/"XP home addition".... i am sorry, but could there be a mistake in either of these??

(2) if NO, then did the system come like this from "DELL"....unlikely... because any flavour of xp needs a bare, bare min. of 256 mb ram.

(3) has it been like this from the beginning or is it a recent problem?

(4) if the system has been modified (operating system changed?) then i think the tech.who did it needs to learn a lot more!!

so... on the FACE of it, the cause for "slow" is the very inadequate ram memory.

so... either we need some more input from you or if you are sure about the cause as stated above and want to increse the ram memory...

PL MAKE SURE THE RAM MODULES ARE COMPATIBLE. POST BACK IF YOU NEED FURTHER HELP.

HTH and wishing a very good NEW YEAR---Venkat
