Diane,
You can try that but I have not had much success with that method. I will
take just as long or longer to relink and replace all the data in the
registry as reinstalling the programs. If you do it you can use Norton
System Works or some other program to relink the files but many programs
won't work without the correct info in the registry - hence you will have
to reinstall those. But reinstalling the operating system to a clean hard
disk is mandatory to fully fix the viral problems that were created.
