For what it is worth, I also had the same thing happen to me. Working
fine one day and then not the next. Mine is a HP 7200i and I was also
using Adaptec 3.5 and Win 95. Tried reinstalling everything and using
Adaptec 4.0 and Win 98. Same results - it goes thru the entire process
and then rejects the CD. I tried changing brands also with no luck.
I'm sorry I can't help you (mine is still down) but I'm watching this
column eagerly for the solution.
