We were testing a celeron 600 on a PRM 23E1 DTK mobo.
When we started the PC a PIII 600 was detected.
Then we realized that if as we believe even the Celeron 600 must run at 66 MHz with a 9X multiplier, there was no chancwe at all with such a jumperless mobo because the bigger multiplier was 8X.
Would someone explain tu us why was a PIII FC-PGA 600 detected?
did we put the 1.65 Volts that PIII 600 requires or the 1.5 Volts that a Celeron 600 requires?
The FSB was 100 0r 66 MHZ?
If there is a document in a site, explaining this and more things related, please let me know.
Thanks a lot
Roberto
