My monitor recently started have problems. When you try to run a program
that changes the screen's resolution (like a dos program) the screen
scrambles. It also scrambles when you shut down your computer and it goes
to the "shutting down" screen. The scramble is like when you try to
connect a very old monitor to a computer with a high resolution.

The monitor works fine when you turn it on for the first time while it is
still cool.

Is this monitor shot? Would it be cheaper to buy a new one or fix it?
Thanks for your help.
Brian
