Sounds strange, but if you connect monitor power to CPU box, the power
supply may be the problem. The best way to operate is always NOT using power
supply to pass power to monitor. From the old days, a good technical always
turn on monitor first then the computer, when turn off, off the computer
first then monitor. (when I bought my monitor, the power core in box was a
pass-by cable, I asked the dealer to exchange to a normal cable)
