Last Night I copied a hard drive with ghost and then win-95 would hang at
start, right as the background came on. I tried swapping master/slave
settings and finally in desperation I formatted the original drive.

It had a couple of messages that I had just received from a couple of
members of this list concerning my original problem with 15/16 heads. If
anyone sent me a message and still has a copy in thier SENT folder, please
resend.

I currently have a IBM 8.4 Deskstar as master maxtor 6.4 as slave on EIDE
channel#1.
the CD-ROM is alone on channel#2.

If I list the Maxtor in the CMOS, Win95 hangs. If I remove it, Win95 boots
ok
I have tried reversing the two(and changing the master/slave jumpers) and I
get the same bad results. In other words, either one will work fine by
itself, but not the two together.

The machine is a new Progen 333MHZ with an ATREND mainbord w/64Megs ram.

Will welcome any and all suggestions!!!
