Would it be easy to try a new cable?  If not, just take the old one off
and put it on and off a couple times.          Rick Glazier

All of a sudden, my 40x Memorex CD Drive won't work.  When I put a CD in,
the light goes on and flashes for a long time.  When I click on it in My

So I rebooted, but no luck. Then I removed the drive in devices and
rebooted. It was found but still didn't work. I reloaded the driver from
the disk, but still didn't work. I went on Memorex's web site and
downloaded the driver, still didn't work.
