Hi Peter

I just bought two Western Digital 7200 RPM 500 GB "My Book" external
hard drives for $161.10 each (free 3 day shipping when I ordered them)
from Dell. They are rated five of five stars by users.

I ordered each separately (a week apart) and each was delivered within
four days from the date of my on-line order. (They're listed now as
"usually ships: one to two weeks". I don't recall if they were so listed
when I bought them.)

They connect via USB2 (cable included) and come in really nice (very
stylish,
with great passive ventilation) external enclosures that can stand up
(see picture)
or lie flat (rubber "feet" included for either method). After using
them for one
and two weeks (respectively), they're working perfectly. (No software
drivers are
necessary for Win2k or WinXP.)

Based on my experience with them, I can recommend them highly.

Regards,
Bill
