This URL lists the file sw260. I have tried sw260 in two different file
downloads, one was sw260.exe, the other was sw260 file 1,2,3.
Both will access the scanner through 'Swiss Knife' giving the read/write
speed, but 'scanner test' still shows no connection.
After deleting all files relating to Twain, Twain_32, Microtek, and
device manager, turning off the scanner & shutting down the computer,
turning on the scanner before rebooting each time, then going through the
setup again & again setting EPP both on & off, using the original CD for
the scanner then upgrading, & then not using the CD, I've decided that XP
will not recognize The Microtek ScanMaker V310 scanner. This computer
with an older OS would.
BTW the files after downloading do not show any reference to XP.
Has anyone tried a terminator between the scanner and cable? It's not
supposed to need one but who knows??
I'm thinking of putting the scanner on another computer with an older OS.
