If all the settings are right and the printer is shared and recognized,
I've solved this problem by installing the printer locally on each
machine (to establish the correct driver "base set-up") and then
moving the printer back to the other networked machine where it
will "live"...
I then re-map all the other machines to find that specific location
(the printer) on the network.
It has been a while since I did this, and there were always people
on this list (and at HP) that said this would not work with that
particular printer.  (I guess the printer did not know that, <grin>)
This was on a little peer to peer Win95B network (at home)
using a cheap hub...
