How are your modem jumpers set? They should be set to Com 2 and do an auto
detect with Win98.You have a conflict with Com 1 and Com 3 as they both use
IRQ 4 which is what your mouse is using. Com 2 uses IRQ 3.One way is to
delete your mouse and install your modem, then re-install your mouse. The
mouse should reinstall at Com 2 and your modem should install at Com 3. Hope
