Hi Kath,

  Any idea why the bones need to be sawed rather than chopped or cut?
Maybe because they splinter when they are cut. I have bought marrow bones
from the butcher that are probably sawed but I have to be careful of little
glasslike shards of bone that are left on the marrow. Raw marrow is an
interesting treat.

I have made risotto for the rice eaters in the family out of the stock.

I would be interested in soup recipes for the winter too!
