Last year in September my previous doctor ran some blood tests and found fairly high levels of antinuclear antibodies. Based on the levels and my symptoms he suspected lupus but the additional tests he ran for various autoimmune diseases came back negative. At the time, I was still cheating quite a bit with low carb wheat tortillas, Splenda, sugar-free gum, and other non-paleo foods. After the test results I decided to be more strict and have been doing fairly well. I am not 100% paleo, but very close to it. My current doctor (using natural approaches) rechecked my levels and he just called me to let me know they are now normal. I am SO excited. He did find high mercury levels, as well as lead, but I am confident that those can be dealt with as well.

Just thought I would share the good news and maybe give someone out there hope.
