I am assuming that they were doing just that, but I am also assuming that
the control group - who was not taking the NSAIDS - were also eating a
similar grain and processed foods polluted diet.

I don't have an answer to your question, Paula, but to me the more
interesting one is whether the people taking these NSAIDS (=non-steroidal
anti-inflamatory drugs) were doing so to relieve the pain from arthritis
which may have been caused by eating a diet with significant amounts of
grain oro ther non-Paleo foods.
