Hi Pam,

Generally accepted normal blood pressure parameters are 100 to 140 mm Hg systolic (top
number) and 60 to 90 mm Hg diastolic (bottom number). Usually blood pressure is lower
in women than men, muscular development also affects BP. States of mental and physical
stress and fatigue also affect BP (usually increases). In the absence of associated
disease, low blood pressure is often a predictor of longevity and continued health. Now
I understand that you have CFS, but it seems that your blood pressure might be one
system that is working right for you :-). IMHO, trying to increase your BP is treating
the symptom instead of addressing the cause (docs love to do that, they like pills
too). If you are not suffering ill effects (syncope, falls, dizziness, weakness, etc)
secondary to your blood pressure, could it be that your BP is normal and isn't even a
symptom in your CFS?

I hope I have not been presumptuous in my ramblings here, I just wanted to offer a bit
of food (paleo? hee, hee) for thought. Good luck in your journey!

pax,
phyllis
