Ray Kurzweil, Ori Hoffmeckler (Warrior Diet), Dr Greg Ellis (?) and almost
all the others - but not Loren or Ray - produce their respective
theories, catch the imagination and then come in with their special brand
of super-food. Almost by definition, these 'bars' and pills are non-
Paleo, but it is the only way to get rich from the Paleo concept: convince
us that it is almost perfect, it just needs their unique addition to tweak
it to perfection.

We are evolutionarily programmed to grab for a silver bullet and this
sometimes worked before industrialization. Add to that our societal
preference for sedentism and for 'the good things in life' and we need to
exercise our judgement, patience and discipline consiste
ntly.

I like the line that the Paleo diet has been proved the best over 3
million years. That's pretty convincing. What we have to remember, is
that the diet was part of a three-part package: living physically,
socially and mentally in a healthy environment - which also provides
healthy food - is the full expression of the Paleo diet and is a
combination that is, in itself, the silver bullet.

Supplemnents are fine, but when you look at the complexities of the human
physiology, our ignorance is staggering. We are about 20% along the road
to understanding human physiology and we're a long way off tweaking our
food intake to get our diet and health perfect.

Paleo - true paleo - is the way to go! There were no pills on the
savannah's forest edge!
