I now have the answer to a post I made some time back- about the lysine
content of the paleolithic diet- it is much higher than the cereal diet. I
thought this might be of interest to the group.

This question arose due to beng aware of the late Linus Pauling's resolute
promotion of Vitamin C and Lysine as a panacea for heart disease and other
illnesses. Pauling was a Nobel Prize winner in chemistry 1954 (I think it
was to do with quantum theory) and a Nobel peace prize in 1962 I think. The
establishment rejected Pauling over his medical theories (he wasn't a
medico) - but his followers are still around. I always think Nobel Prize
winners can probably see things that aren't obvious to others. I don't know
enough about Pauling's theories to make any meaningful comment on them, and
a lot more knowledge has accumulated since he first expounded his theories-
but it's interesting, especially as paleodiet is so high in Vit C and
Lysine!
