I began to develop bunions after I was eating paleo - not before.

I was a severe pronator as a child and wore corrective shoes also - gave
them up in my late teens when I put fashion first ;)

I was told bunions are from wearing ill fitting shoes and with women, high heels. I have been a lover of bare feet all my life, I still wear highheeled shoes occasionally but the very first thing I do when I walk in the door of my home is kick off my shoes. I don't have bunions but I'm betting it's a multiple cause malady and I think grains are the biggest culprit with bone problems whereby minerals are flushed from the body. Oliva
