Hi Paula,
Sure, your friend could follow a strict gluten-free, dairy-free diet. IF
he/she is strict with the diet, it may clear up the fibromyalgia.

The antibodies used to identify celiac disease are called antiendomysium.
Endomysium is the tissue that surrounds muscle fibres, to reduce friction
between them. There may or may not be measurable antibodies in
fibromyalgia, but I think that is the culprit, and I suspect that it
usually results from gluten.
