O an on debe exprimer iste notion per un altere verbo o phrase o
combination de verbos tal qual 'intender' o 'voler dicer' assi:

"Quando io ha dicite: 'iste romano es insolite', io **intendeva** que le
roman non me placeva."

o "... io **voleva dicer** que..." ?
