Suntou,
I think you're mistaken.
The African Human Rights Commision advocates for the human Rights of all
Africans and indeed all peoples resident in Africa. The location of the
offices of the commission is immaterial to their work. It is an honour to have
the commission locate the offices in Gambia and that decision was based on
Gambia's adherence to the precepts and spirit of the commission. The
commission does NOT necessarily have to have Gambians work for it. It is a
privilege for any Gambian to work for the commission. When the commission is
relocated to Mali say, then those Gambians working for it, if they are committed
to the precepts and mission of the commission, they will friggin move to
the end of the earth with it. I don't like the way you think on this Suntou.

Let's say the commission stays in Gambia in the face of such blatant
threats to their persons. Then Yahya proceeds to kill their officers and staff.
Would you have a commission left to relocate much less its Gambian
workers?????? Why would you even insinuate Yahya may die today, tomorrow, or soon or
be removed from power???? That is the purview of DaarManso and not of the
commission. WHy then would the commission for human rights in Africa tie
their work to Yahya's life??? And you said Yahya does not own Gambia????

What is wrong with the commission relocating to Senegal or Mali or
Botswana, or Benin, or Mali, or Burkina Faso??? And hiring those nationals if the
Gambian staff is not willing or able to relocate to do their work???? How
selfish can you be Suntou??? Is it all about a job for you???? WHy can't you
go herd goats if you cannot work for the commission??? And still defend the
human rights of your fellow man????

I am thoroughly disappointed with you Suntou. Is this your opinion or that
of a visitor to Suntoumana blog??? I need clarification.

On my own part, The commission must not only close its offices in Gambia,
but as protest, MUST terminate all relations with the Yahya government. When
a better government comes in as you suggest could happen, then the
commission could review their decision anew. What is wrong with you??? Is it all
about a job and money for you? Have you landed a job yet Suntou???? Haruna.
