Great work RSF. I congratulate Mr. Venance Konan on his appointment as director of the National daily - Fraternite Matin. Director Konan has the right perspective and am confident Ouattara was aware of his fierce independence and sobriety for common good. Perhaps Fraternite Matin will light the way for other National Media outlets in the subregion de-minimis and the entire continent at large. Director Konan's appointment says a lot about President Ouattara's disposition vis-a-vis the sacrosanct right to free expression of all peoples of Ivory Coast including journalists.

Haruna. What a breath of fresh air flowing through West Africa at this time in history. We will have challenges and difficulties as will other countries of the world, but we must nurture this fresh wind for as long as possible...until the next war.
