There's only problbem with what you suggest. They always use butterflies. I 
may have to tell them that I need the smallest butterfly they have.

Kim,

Any time that you need blood work done, simply
remind them that you need a butterfly needle. Sis
Reeves requires them also. With one of those, she
is no so afraid because it usually works on the first try.

I, myself, used to be deathly afraid of needles
of any kind, but, in the invervening years, I
have to have blood draws every three months. I
have long since lost my fear of needles, for sure.
