In April my husband and I will be going to Hartford,Conn for a meeting. We
will be staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown.  We will not have any
transportation.  I have already called the hotel and they do have a dining
room.  I have not been able to get in touch with the chef yet, but plan on
doing that.  Can anyone suggest places where I might eat that are close by
while my husband is in meetings all day?  Also any sites you think might be
interesting and free for me to see would be a help also.  This is on a
shoestring for us, but I would like to enjoy it since I have never been in
the Northeast before.
