The yoga I was doing is not physical. It was a branch of maha or kundalini
yoga. It's known as 8-limbed yoga. You get to know God or your inner self
through meditation, chanting, selfless service, bhakti or devotion to the guru,
philosophy, hatha yoga (the physical part), and japa, which is mantra repitition.

Our local hatha yoga studio, joy, has classes for folks with disabilities. I
tried it for a while, ended up injuring myself. But there were many people
with severe CP there, the teachers used lots of pillows and props to help them
stretch.
